Day 2 of 5: Keep Bringing It to Jesus
🙏 Waiting can test our faith, but we can continue seeking God with confidence in His character and surrender to His will.

đź“– Scripture
Hebrews 11:6 (NIV, excerpt)
“And without faith it is impossible to please God…”
🪞 Reflection
Some prayers are easy to pray once. Others require us to return to God again and again.
We pray for a loved one, a difficult relationship, healing or direction. When the answer takes longer than expected, discouragement can begin to settle in. We may wonder whether we should stop asking or whether God has heard us at all.
The sermon reminded us to keep seeking Jesus.
In Mark 7:24–30, a Syrophoenician woman came to Jesus on behalf of her daughter. Her response revealed persistent dependence on Him. She continued appealing to His mercy, and Jesus delivered her daughter.
Her story encourages us to bring our needs to the Lord with humility and faith.
Persistence is more than repeating a request. It is continuing to turn toward God while we wait. We keep praying, keep listening and keep obeying what He has already shown us.
We can be honest about our disappointment without withdrawing from His presence. We can ask boldly while surrendering the timing and outcome to Him.
Persistent prayer does not mean every request will receive the answer we prefer. God’s wisdom is greater than ours. As we seek Him, He may also redirect our desires, reveal a different path or teach us to trust Him through an answer we did not expect.
Faith holds on to His goodness through that process.
Today, bring Him the prayer you have grown tired of praying. Tell Him where the waiting hurts. Ask for the grace to remain faithful and the wisdom to recognize His guidance.
Ask yourself:
🙏 What prayer have I stopped bringing to God because I feel discouraged?
🪞 Have I connected God’s goodness only to receiving my preferred answer?
đź‘‚ Am I making room to listen as well as ask?
🛡️ How can I continue trusting Him while I wait?
You are welcome in His presence. Keep bringing your heart to Jesus.
đź’ˇ Persistent faith keeps seeking God while trusting Him with the answer.
🎙️ From the Sermon
Pastor Sonny used the picture of a “hallway of faith” to describe how waiting can develop persistence. He encouraged the church to keep asking, seeking and knocking rather than allowing discouragement to end our dependence on Jesus.
🙏 Prayer
Father, You know the prayers I have carried for a long time.
Meet me in the places where I feel weary. Help me continue seeking You with a heart that is honest, humble and willing to listen.
Give me courage to ask, patience to wait and faith to accept Your guidance. Keep my heart close to You through every answer.
Amen.
