Sonny and Brittany Torres, married since 2007, have devoted more than 20 years to serving the local church in various pastoral roles. During a pilgrimage to Israel in 2017, God placed a vision on their hearts to plant The Church PHX—a church centered on His presence and wholly devoted to Him, where everyone is welcome to encounter Christ and experience transformation.

SONNY
A native of Phoenix, Arizona, Sonny is passionate about reaching every corner of the Valley of the Sun with the hope of Jesus. In his free time, he enjoys working out with his wife, going to the movies with his family, and cheering on his beloved Phoenix Suns. With more than three decades of full-time ministry experience, he considers it an honor to serve as Lead Servant, equipping God’s church to live as His called-out people (1 Peter 2:9).

Along with co-pastoring beside her husband, Brittany is passionate about bringing women together in genuine sisterhood. She loves championing and empowering women and has launched several initiatives to help them thrive. A passionate entrepreneur, she brings creativity and purpose to everything she does. In her free time, she enjoys working out with her husband, playing games with her children, and savoring a good cup of coffee. Her heart’s desire is for God to use her life to establish a lasting foundation upon which future generations can build.
