Day 5 of 5: Become a Rallying Point

🪖 The hope you have in Jesus can encourage someone else. Be available to pray, listen and point others toward His Word.

🪖 Day 5 of 5: The Power of the Armor — The Helmet of Salvation

đź“– Scripture

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,”

🪞 Reflection

Who helps you remember God’s faithfulness when you feel worn down?

Perhaps someone has prayed with you after a difficult week. A friend may have opened the Bible with you or shared a testimony that helped you hope again. Their willingness to be present mattered.

Pastor Sonny described the crest on a soldier’s helmet as a rallying point. He used that picture to encourage believers to become people others can approach for prayer, biblical perspective and support.

Hebrews 10:24 asks us to consider how we can encourage one another toward love and good deeds. That requires attention. We begin to notice who is discouraged, who has been absent and who may need someone to listen.

You do not need to have every answer to offer faithful encouragement. You can make time for a conversation, pray sincerely or read a passage of Scripture together. When a situation is beyond your understanding, you can help someone connect with appropriate support.

Your own daily walk with Jesus matters in these moments. Prayer and time in His Word shape what you have to offer. Honest dependence on Him allows you to encourage others without pretending that your life is free from difficulty.

Christian community also includes receiving help. If you are struggling, reach out to a trusted believer. Let someone pray with you and remind you of God’s truth. We strengthen one another as we learn to give and receive care.

As this five-day journey closes, remember the salvation Christ has provided. Guard your thoughts, keep learning His Word and respond to His instruction. Then look around.

Someone near you may need the encouragement you can offer today.

Ask yourself:

🪖 Who has been a source of prayer and encouragement in my life?

🪞 Who around me may need support this week?

đź“– Am I willing to ask for help when I need it?

🙏 How can I point someone toward Jesus without trying to solve every problem?

Let the hope of your salvation become visible through faithful care. Be someone others can approach, and remain willing to receive encouragement yourself.

đź’ˇ A steady walk with Jesus prepares us to strengthen others through prayer, Scripture and faithful presence.

🎙️ From the Sermon

Pastor Sonny described the helmet’s crest as a rallying point and invited the church to become a source of encouragement on the battlefield. He emphasized prayer, testimony and pointing people back to God’s Word, while reminding believers to remain connected to their own daily walk with the Lord.

🙏 Prayer

Father, thank You for the people You have used to encourage me.

Open my eyes to someone who needs prayer, care or a reminder of Your faithfulness. Help me listen patiently and speak truth with love.

Jesus, deepen my daily walk with You. Make me willing to offer support and humble enough to receive it when I need help.

Amen.
