😊 Day 2: Joy in His Nearness

šŸ“– Today’s Scripture

Read Psalm 16:11

ā€œIn thy presence is fulness of joy.ā€ā€” Psalm 16:11 KJV

šŸ’ Today’s Reflection

Joy is deeper than a good mood.

Circumstances change. Plans fall apart. Disappointment comes. Pain can arrive without warning.

But the presence of God gives our hearts a steady place to stand.

God does not ask us to pretend that pain is pleasant or that disappointment does not hurt. Instead, He invites us to bring our honest selves into His presence.

God’s joy may arrive quietly:

✨ Strength for the next step

✨ Gratitude in uncertainty

✨ Peace in the middle of waiting

✨ Assurance that we have not been abandoned

As we turn our attention toward God, our joy becomes less dependent on what is happening around us.

Today, do not chase the feeling of joy.

Draw near to the Source of joy.

šŸ¤” Pause and Reflect

What circumstance has been controlling the temperature of your joy?

Complete this sentence:

āœļø I have allowed __________ to determine whether I have joy.

Now remind your heart:

God is still near—even here.

šŸ‘£ Today’s Practice

Think of three signs of God’s goodness from the past twenty-four hours.

  1. 🌿 ______________________________

  2. 🌿 ______________________________

  3. 🌿 ______________________________

Thank God aloud for each one.

šŸ™ Today’s Prayer

Father, meet me in the places where my joy has grown thin. Help me notice Your goodness and receive the gladness that comes from being near You. Let my joy be rooted in who You are, not in what changes around me. Amen.

🌱 Carry This With You

Joy grows when I turn my attention toward the nearness of God.
