📖 Today’s Scripture
Read Exodus 33:14–15
“My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”— Exodus 33:14 KJV
💭 Today’s Reflection
Moses had a promise, a destination, and an important responsibility. Still, he refused to move forward without God.
Moses understood that reaching the right place without God’s presence would still leave him empty.
We are often tempted to measure a good life by movement:
➡️ A new opportunity
➡️ A solved problem
➡️ A completed goal
➡️ A long-awaited breakthrough
But God’s presence is not simply a helpful addition to our plans. His presence is the life within them.
Before asking, “How quickly can I get there?” we should ask:
“Am I going there with God?”
God’s presence may slow your pace. It may redirect your route. It may even invite you to stop and rest.
None of that time is wasted.
Sometimes the greatest evidence of faith is not moving faster—it is being willing to wait for God.
🤔 Pause and Reflect
Where have you been pursuing progress more eagerly than God’s presence?
Take a moment to name that area:
✍️ God, I have been rushing ahead in…
👣 Today’s Practice
Before your next important task, pause for three quiet minutes.
Put away your phone, breathe slowly, and pray:
“Lord, if Your presence does not lead me, I do not want to go.”
🙏 Today’s Prayer
God, free me from the need to rush ahead. Make Your presence my first desire and my surest direction. Teach me to follow Your pace, trust Your leading, and refuse every success that requires me to leave closeness with You behind. Amen.
🌱 Carry This With You
The right destination is never better than the presence of God.
